LJ seems to concentrate on solving all of the non-essential problems - that only cause more problems once they've "solved" them.

i.e. The latest cross-posting fiasco. It wasn't an issue, and many people actually prefer not to cross-post to Twitter and Facebook, but they decided to fix it by making it available.

Seriously, focus on the things we care about. Get rid of the spammers and bots!

DW is, by no means, perfect, but at least they take a vigilant stance against it. They have a button to click when you're deleting an entry/comment to mark it as spam and it goes straight to their spam team. Why doesn't LJ do that?
