Cleaning update: nearly completed folding of the laundry (I have a couple more baskets to go so yay me), cleaned the bathroom (minus the tub, did mop the floor at least), cleaned OUT the couch, and vacuumed the living room. Managed to break a light fixture for my new living room ceiling fan I don't have up yet (which it is way past return date so I'm going to see if I can superglue it back together otherwise meh) - it's about right, I've broken at least three dishes within the last couple months (my Captain America & Sailor Moon cup and a bowl). I need to work on cleaning my room, getting the spare bed dusted/cleaned, laundry put away, and vacuuming the rest of the house. I'd also like to get the gardening beds put together ideally but that is backburner right now. I'd also like to re-organize my books and clean out the storage room. I also need to clean out my car.

So this weekend, other than cleaning, my brother came over and worked a bit more on the office floor - apparently it needs more floor leveler so he couldn't start that part (which fair, I never did end up painting anyway). He started me on watching Star Wars: Clone Wars show since I enjoyed the Maul show. Except early seasons animation was not great, so I don't know if I'll watch more of it without him. I don't know why but I just enjoy Star Trek stuff more? Maybe I just need to be in the mood for animated stuff.

So I updated Capes & Crusaders TCG today, only did a couple decks - but I had the idea last week to start a Make a Deck option at the community, so I got some rules/guidelines up for it - haven't started making what I have YET, but hopefully the concept works. *shrugs* I did end up returning to a "Monthly Theme" concept - except this one, since it's consisting of Pride, Spider-Man, and Supergirl is going to last until the end of August.

No writing this weekend, but I do think I'm going to pass on the [community profile] unconventionalcourtship this year - I just can't find one that I want to try, or I get sorta close but meh. It does inspire me to want to work on my X-Men Pairing & Prompt Generator - I'm planning on making a MCU one and a DC Comics one - the plan for writers to be inspired of different pairings for xmen100, mcu100 and now dc100.

6/7/26 Note: So this post should have been posted May 31st, but instead, basically a week later since my computer did a weird freezing thing for the internet. So while I lost a little more writing on the original post, I did manage to screenshot what was originally written - so that's what you guys get here.

Welp, ending this month with a lot more icons being made than writing again. I have kind of a busy schedule for the month of June, so I'm not sure exactly how much I'll be around, but I do want to make a few posts in June (I've been wanting to talk about the latest books, films and shows I've been watching) here and some drabbles/fics (I seem to keep getting distracted by iconing instead of writing, lol).

Anyway, I signed up for [community profile] marvel_bang - I haven't quite decided exactly what I'm going to do for it - either I'm starting the long awaited sequel to Falling Slowly (XME, Rogue/Scott), working on the WIP Hearts & Souls (MCU/TASM, Darcy/Steve, Tony/Pepper, Peggy, Howard/Maria, Peter/Gwen, Mary) that I haven't touched in years, or starting a brand new Rogue/Scott or MCU related work. I'm leaning towards the Hearts & Souls mostly because that one is at least started - I think I need to see the original movie again for inspiration, that might help me write more. I don't know though, because Wanda has been inspiring me a lot more lately, so who knows.

I do want to do a [community profile] unconventionalcourtship but I can't find a summary that intrigues me enough to write for it yet - sign ups close June 10 so I still have some time to look for something. I really want to do a Kara/Maxwell (Arrowverse) fic for it though. I also tentatively signed up for [community profile] launchtheship for Batman/Joker/Lois (Harley Quinn animated series) and Bucky/Kate/Yelena (MCU) - but there are a few other Marvel ships that don't have anything that I've found.

Okay so besides wanting to get more writing done this month, I also want to work on more decks for Capes & Crusaders TCG. I got distracted (lmao again), by making icons otherwise I'd have completed a couple decks today (I have images for Aquaman's Lorena Marquez and started saving image hunting for Batman Beyond's Aquagirl & Big Barda). If saving images wasn't so annoying anymore, it would get done faster (I hate when I go to save an image and it tries to save it as anything but what it is - I don't know who THAT was a good idea but fuck them). I did at least put up the previous Pride header in honor of Pride Month (minus the original purple background). I did pay attention that I could do at least a deck within an hour (maybe more) depending on if I have images or not. It's when I have to go looking for images I get lost and become distracted or down a rabbit hole and find mismatched images (for example I went looking for Rachel/Betsy & Betsy/Warren images, ended up getting scattered images of Betsy with Beast, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Storm, and Emma as well). I'm thinking of kind of doing a Make a Deck challenge at the community, where I'd make cards out of the images I have and ask members for help/donations to fill in the rest - that might be best? I do miss character/ship fansites so much though - they used to help so much.

So anyway the reason why I'll be busy in June, will be because my aunt will be visiting from June 13th-June 20th (or maybe a little less? she said she has to leave early for a party). So I'm not sure how much time I'll get to be on the computer doing that period of time. Also my friend who moved to Colorado will be here for a few days as well (I told her she was welcomed anytime and because something another one her friends is dealing with, she came to the east coast). So what THAT all means - I have to actually clean clean my house. I don't know if it's a mixture of anxiety/depression or some other mental disorder (or just how I was raised) but doing chores are a struggle for me so I usually do the bare minimum, but I can usually motivate myself to clean when "company" is coming a lot more than normal, especially now after working 10+ hours a day. Started doing all the laundry baskets that I've been avoiding this weekend, so I should be current by next weekend. I need to check out [community profile] bitesizedcleaning for tricks/inspiration.

Also new community alert!
dc100 [community profile] dc100 similar to of course [community profile] mcu100 and [community profile] xmen100, just encompasses ANY DC universe.

24 May 2026 @ 12:23 am

In honor of the release of Supergirl (2026) film on June 26, 2026 over at [community profile] supergirl_tv we're going to have a drabble/promptathon/prompt meme (whatever you want to call it) focused on Supergirl (any universe).

So from now until June 25th, comment here with prompts & I'll post a masterlist by June 26th at [community profile] supergirl_tv. That gives us about over 5 weeks submit prompts and then a free-for-all to grab the prompts and start writing. There will be no "claiming" or "signing up". You basically have the rest of the Summer to write something for these prompts to help us celebrate the new movie!

PROMPT AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU WISH! THE MORE THE MERRIER! You want a full sentence or song title or whatever go ahead, or you can just do simple one or two worded prompts. If you have more than one prompt for a pairing or character, please separate by a comma (such as Barry Allen/Kara Zor-El - bed, kiss, sing battle). More than one prompt can go in a comment; If you're still unsure how to do it, check out my comment below for ideas.

More information here + Comment with prompts!!

[community profile] briaru is a brand new community dedicated to the universe that contains Off-Campus, Briar U, and Campus Diaries series by Elle Kennedy including Elle Kennedy's other Hockey Romance novels such as the HIM and WAGs series (just because!) along with the new Amazon Prime TV series based on the universe, Off Campus!

Not sure how much of a fandom it'll get, probably won't be as big as Heated Rivalry of course, but I've been reading Elle Kennedy works off-an-on for years, and with the new TV series based of Off Campus (which I enjoyed a lot), I figured we could use a fandom space for it.

Tumblr is full of gifs, AO3 has some fics, and I haven't looked yet but assumedly there might be some fanvids for the show. If I find pictures/screenshots of the series, I definitely plan on making some icons, otherwise the above icon is the only one I got for the series.

Hope to see you there! I'm going to eventually post my feelings towards the show - soonish at least - and I plan on re-reading the series as well.

If you would have told me any point within the last few years that I would be listening to a country artist, I would have probably laughed at you - I mean I like certain songs and usually limited to only a few artists but I started listening to Queer Love mix list via Spotify and I was like, why is Elvis on this list? Come to find out the song was Roses Are Falling by Orville Peck, which was definitely interesting to find out - to me, he sounds so much like him. Anyway I definitely suggest checking him out if you didn't know he existed like I did.

But to be fair, I haven't really listened to much outside of radio while I'm in the car or I usually do iheartradio artist playlists of usually of Mary Lambert, Hayley Kiyoko, Olivia Rodrigo, Maddie Zahm, Zolita, Fletcher, and Renee Rapp - the last six I found via Mary Lambert's "playlist/channel". If you're unfamiliar with iheartradio, if you have the free version (aka ad filled), you get similar artists whenever you click on an artist. Or at least familiar enough I guess. Chappell Roan I think I also found via that playlist, but also she kind of blew up a year or two ago. Pink Pony Club of course is I think my favorite song.

Discovered a whole bunch of new musicians that way a few years ago. I fell in love with Mary Lambert's version of Jessie's Girl and quickly loved her other work. Now for Maddie Zahm I think one of the first ones of her work was Fat Funny Friend or If It's Not God which I adore. I think Renee Rapp got me with her In The Kitchen and Pretty Girls.  Zolita I fell in love with her music with Somebody I F*cked Once. With Fletcher I believe it was Girls Girls Girls. Olivia Rodrigo I think was Vampire. Hayley Kiyoko with Girls Like Girls.

I think through listening/watching the official music videos of the above singers, I discovered Cloudy June (Girls Like You) and many more like Morgan Wade (Fall In Love With Me), Ryan Cassata (Daughter), Rosemary Joaquin (Erika), Devon Cole (Hey Cowboy, although W.I.T.C.H. was my original favorite),, Xana (19), girli (More Than A Friend), G Flip (GAY 4 ME), King Mala ("she calls me daddy"), Maggie Lindemann (she knows it), Hollie Col (Unholy), Aston (For the Girls & Mama Didn't Raise No), Sarah Barrios (Thank God You Introduced Me To Your Sister), Pale Waves (She's My Religion), Chloe Adams (Dirty Thoughts), Halsey (Strangers), Alexia Evellyn (Savage Daughters), Chinchilla (Little Girl Gone), Iluka (Cry Evil!), Kacey Musgraves (Dry Spell), Paris Paloma (labour), Em Beihold (Brutus), Ella Red (He Asked For It), Kiki Rockwell (Burn Your Village), Viking Barbie (Creep), SkyDxddy (Medusa), Peggy (Talk Shit! | Feminine Rage), Ashley Ryan (Hush Little Baby), Lauren Sanderson (Come Say Sum), Sofia  Isella (Everybody Supports Women), Jax (i choose violence) and Matilda (Apologize). Also really liked Jeangu Macrooy's Independent Girls & Nasty Evil Gays (which with that title, kinda gave me pause, but then you hear the lyrics and it makes sense and not actually anti-queer)

I think the last "new" country songs (not sure how "country" they are though) I've enjoyed over the last few years are: Tanner Adell's Buckle Bunny and Lil Nas X (Old Town Road). Also really enjoyed Ashley McBryde's What If We Don't.

Anyway, I don't normally talk about music on my journal, but I wanted to do something for [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth & since I've been doomscolling too much on instagram lately and the world is just shit and I haven't felt like writing - so I figured I'd talk about some music I've enjoyed over the last few years - and yes most of them are queer related, so if anyone has any favorites or recs, please suggest away! And let me know if I introduced you to anyone new! Or if you also like them.

In honor of [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth, I thought I should do an icon challenge over at [community profile] supergirl_tv since I was planning on doing a drabbleathon for the Summer.

So without further ado:

No official sign-ups, no claiming, you can use any character/pairing/universe as long as Supergirl appeared in it (even if only briefly!)

[community profile] galorechallenge is a returning Crossover Fic Challenge from LiveJournal where you would find a crossover, grab a prompt & start writing! NO CLAIMING NESSARY! Post your story to the community (or at least link to it) once you're done. Feel free to grab more than one prompt, and more than one crossover! There are no limits on how much you can write per round. Check out the rules for more information.
Also once the round ends, we'll vote on our favorites by fandom & you can get a fancy award. Or if there is only 1 crossover for a particular fandom, it will move on to the next round.
While it is a multi-fandom challenge, and SO MANY fandoms are allowed, there are some restrictions, so check out the fandoms currently allowed.
Round 14 is open until June 30, 2026 @ 11:59 EST.

Rules & FAQ | Prompts | Submit New Prompts/Crossovers |

Finally made some banners/new header/layout for the community & prompt website and used some of my favorite female characters from various fandoms: Mel (Charmed Reboot), Carol Danvers (MCU), Villanelle, Zari Tomaz (Arrowverse), Cara Mason (Legend of the Seeker), Bex Henderson (Hunting Party), Wednesday, and Kate Sharma (Bridgerton). Made mostly in honor of it being Women's Month, but also because I wanted to. Also made the font bigger, 'cause that fit better now that the new header is bigger.

I'm going to try and think of some new crossover prompts for galorechallenge - I feel like there is a lot of gaps, especially with all the new fandoms I've added over the last few months, but that might be slow going depending on inspiration/time, so seriously if anyone have any ideas, please suggest them here.

In other news, I also updated Muse-Insanity.org/Icons with everything I've made this year so far. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

[community profile] 40daysofdrabbles is still happening! If I happen to have missed a day or two, I will add multiple prompts the same day to "honor" the day(s) I missed.

Honestly the "Drink" prompt did not come to me because of St. Patrick's day but in the fact that I really wanted a female character as the prompt image in honor of Women's month/day, but then it kinda just felt right using the prompt with both communities especially when I saw that image of Emma. I didn't think through the Monthly Character prompts, otherwise I'd have done female characters there as well.

In other news, [community profile] galorechallenge Round 14 is now open! Officially finished uploading all the old prompts. I still need to add new prompts/crossovers since nothing new has appeared, feel free to suggest prompts/crossovers HERE. Still need to make a new promo banner & header but meh, I haven't felt like it honestly.

So it's been awhile since I posted anything directly to here, I apologize for that, but February has oddly been busy? Mostly with work but I also wrote a lot more last month (8 fics/drabbles) which I'm so proud of. I also did something to my right foot (not quite sure if it's my ankle, it feels more like the top of my foot) so I've been dealing with that pain off and on since mid-February. Most of the time I forget about it because my full-time job is mostly a sit down job (and it only vaguely hurt while sitting), and I haven't had a lot of scheduled retail shifts last couple weeks (thankfully for my mental health, horrible for my bank account), but I do have to get up and move around at my full-time job - sometimes a lot so that's when it mostly hits me. I did rest it a lot when I got home from work as well and I rested a lot this weekend (although I did get some cleaning done), so I didn't spend a lot of time online thus my oblivious to the world becoming on fire (I listen to audiobooks at work, and usually on the way to & from work, rarely do I put on the radio and when I did nothing mentioned anything at all - all I noticed was the gas prices shot the fuck up and I'm like why? Found out last night. Yeah. Fuck. The world is on fire. Again/Still depending on your viewpoint.)

ANYWAY due to my offline time, my newest obsession:

the Monsterverse (aka Godzilla 2014 & Kong: Skull Island shared universe along with the TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters). Caught the trailer for Monarch on Prime and I was like sign me the fuck up. I enjoyed every second of it.

Look I've loved Godzilla since I watched Godzilla (1998) and the animated series based on the film - I know most people shit on that movie but I enjoy it. And it satisfied the need for more dinosaur-type stuff I wanted back when I was a kid and in love with the Jurassic Park trilogy (haha, still am). I think the animated series of Godzilla also kind of synched it for me (I have the DVD set for it) and it's still pretty good - I want to rewatch again thanks to Monarch (they share some similarities that probably only I can see and enjoy but I'll take it). I also really enjoyed Godzilla (2014) film, which people also kinda dislike? I think or at least have mixed feelings about? I enjoyed all the sequels as well, and I appreciated what they were as monster movies, but I think Monarch show really kinda synched my love for the universe. I kinda wish I could have showed the show and the other newer movies to my Nana, she loved the original Godzilla stuff and would watch those, I'd love to know what she'd think of the show. I haven't seen those since I was a little kid and I don't remember actually enjoying them? Maybe it was the graphics, maybe it just didn't hold my attention - not quite sure (might try again). Anyway, as much as I loved Aaron Taylor-Johnson & Elizabeth Olsen in Godzilla (2014), I didn't really go looking for fanfiction or other fanworks (maybe gifs on Tumblr) until Monarch. The cast is just so good, and the characters! Ugh, I love all of them and I ship like everyone (as you can see what I've iconed so far). And the fact that they have Kurt & Wyatt Russell playing the same characters but at different points of time - BRILLIANT. I think my favorite characters are probably the "core" main characters: Cate Randa, Corah "May Olowe-Hewitt" Mateo, Kentaro Randa, Keiko Miura, Bill Randa (did not expect to like that character after Kong: Skull Island!) and obviously Lee Shaw.

Also I obviously noticed back when they did Kong: Skull Island, but a lot of Marvel/MCU actors/actresses appeared in the Monsterverse and all it does is making me want them to do a Godzilla/Marvel crossover movie. They won't do it, but there is at least I think a Godzilla/Marvel comics series I think.

It's a small fandom, so there's that... but at least it exists. Anyway, let me know if you like any of the movies or like Monarch! I'd love to hear what you think or who you ship :)

Inspired by [community profile] adventdrabbles, I will be posting daily prompts at [community profile] 40daysofdrabbles from Ash Wednesday to Easter, prompts will mostly be winter/spring themed things.

Any fandom (minus RPF/Reality TV), pairing or rating is allowed. Feel free to combine with other challenges! Minimum word count is 100 words, but no maximum.

Our first five prompts are now up! Feel free to start writing or follow us incase a prompt jumps out at you!

Or want to suggest prompts? Have questions?

So check out [community profile] 40daysofdrabbles!!

The original purpose [community profile] 40daysofdrabbles is just to write 40 drabbles about whatever you want to focus on, or ask your friends for prompts/ships/fandoms - this is open year-round although it originally started as a personal challenge ages ago for Lent. This still applies if you want to combine the two events.

Check out the profile page for more information!

[community profile] 40daysofdrabbles - so I created this community a few months ago in honor of the old request challenge thing I used to do (of various degrees of success). I am tempted to use the community in the style of [community profile] adventdrabbles, 'cause it seems wasteful not do more with it. So I'll probably post "prompts" daily there for the period of Lent.

Lent is starting February 18th, and again I'm not really religious (despite my family wishes), but I figured I could try this challenge again and see if I could exercise my writing abilities a bit more. I'm gonna try and get everything written & posted by Easter, or by end of April at the latest. *fingerscrossed*

You do not have to be a "friend" to request a pairing, but if you are unsure of a fandom/pairing I like - my list is located here (while not complete exactly, it's mostly is) or feel free to check out the tag list on [community profile] harpiewriting for ships I've already wrote for. I also technically have a list of Crossover pairings but that hasn't really been edited since 2012 so yeah... Also some of these fandoms are old and I have not recently watched them (or at times finished them).

Request as much as you want since there are so many slots open.... I'll try to pick the ones I know for sure I can/will write & add them to the table. Prompts aren't required. (Or preferably use a prompt from one of my tables I need to write for! :P ) Drabbles will at least be 100 words, maybe more depending on the plot bunnies.

I rarely write dark fics, smut, or super angsty stuff, so if you prefer that, I might not be able to do it? If you have any Do Not Wants, let me know otherwise it'll be whatever my brain can think up.

In honor of the various Femslash events that popped up this February, I figured I'd go with the theme for the pairings prompts. :D I picked two of my favorites.

Managed to finish my [community profile] smallfandomfest prompt early this morning (only 2 hours late...).

Signed up for the Fresh Femslash Salad Bar, figured I'd try my hand at it. If anyone has a particular femslash pairing they want to see (and you know I ship it or just ask, you never know - I haven't finished updating that list), feel free to request a pairing. I'm not quite sure what pairings I'll do, but that would be helpful to narrow it down.

Week 1 of the DCU Femslash February Comment Fest has started which is focused on drabble/short form, angst, and/or rarepair.

Wrote up a post at [community profile] supergirl_tv about current challenges/events happening, feel free to let me know if I missed any. I'm going to try do that monthly, but who knows.

Also did a "First Kiss" prompt at basically all my communities that I run.

Finished my Hunting Party icons for [community profile] tvmovie20in20 - shockingly early! I of course had to use Nick Wechsler's character Oliver for the "Space" prompt in honor of the first role I knew him from Kyle from Roswell. I used also a lot more textures than I normally do with this set so hopefully they turned out ok. XD Seriously if anyone starts watching the show and enjoys it, please let me know! It's a really small fandom so the more the merrier.

Voting is up for Round 22 of [community profile] tvmovie20in20 - Please vote for your favorite Theme, Category and Artists' Choice. Round 23 sign-ups are up and I'm planning on joining it, I just don't know what subject to do. I kinda want do a "new" show, so I'm thinking between High Potential, Doc, Heated Rivalry or Fallout. I'd love to do The Hunting Party but sadly I cannot find a source for screencaps and I was only able to download a handful of images for the show on their official site. EDIT: I did just find Melissa Roxburgh fansite with a gallery! YAY! So probably going to go with The Hunting Party unless I go with her character for the next round of [community profile] characters20in20 - again I haven't quite decided. Maybe both? The Hunting Party for tvmovie, and her character for characters?

Managed to upload all my femslash to the Sunset Archive. I don't have a lot, so it's kinda faster to upload those in comparison to my other works I still need to upload to AO3 and then SquidgeWorld. Sunset is pretty small, so there's not a lot of works already there. Kinda like for CFAA. BTW the [community profile] fandomtrees gifts were revealed - ended up getting three fics, A Shared Space by Sobriquett (Bridgerton, Kate/Anthony), Bone Deep Cold by jenab (The Flash CW, Barry/Caitlin), and Once More, With Feeling by freevistas (Sense8, Lito/Hernando/Dani) which are all VERY lovely, please read them if you like the pairings. Also received some SHIP banners (now located on my profile page) by the lovely [personal profile] maevedarcy (Again, soooo pretty! I miss ship buttons/banners!). Also received this post's icon (Annalise/Nathan/Gabriel from the Bastard Son & Devil Himself) by [personal profile] goodbyebird which is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

In response of three peoples' trees, I've made three MCU fics a Baby From Another Universe (Bucky/Yelena, Alexei/Melina), only one bed (for three) (Darcy/Pietro/Wanda), and girlfriend's new pet (Kate/Yelena). Plus made some icons and a book rec for others.

Speaking of Annalise/Nathan/Gabriel, I have just a week left for my prompt of "Hold Each Other by A Great Big World" for [community profile] smallfandomfest which I love the song, and someone early on had made a fanvid for the ship (very pretty, check it out!) which I love... but so far, hasn't inspired me which sucks 'cause it's like the perfect song for them. Ugh, I hate writer's block... If anyone happens to see this and can prompt with something they'd like to see for OT3 please let me know (or feel free to message me if you want to be private).

Beware the potential spoilers behind the cuts. And if by any chance you are a fan of any of these, please let me know your thoughts!

Starfleet Academy
- watched the first two episodes of it tonight and I enjoyed it. It was a little weird, 'cause it was a different set up than I was expecting (I did not watch any trailers going into it, nor any news articles other than the fact that Tig Notaro and the Doctor from Voyager would be in it). Read more... )

The Hunting Party - Season 2 started airing, and I'm enjoying it so far, I really loved Season 1 so I was excited to see it return. I just did a rewatch it (first season is only 10 episodes so it's a semi-quick rewatch) - still love it! It stars Melissa Roxburgh (from Manifest and Tracker) as Bex Henderson, Nick Wechsler (aka Kyle from Roswell) as Oliver Odell, Josh McKenzie (from La Brea) as Shane Florence, Patrick Sabongui (David Singh from the Arrowverse) as Jacob Hassani and Sara Garcia (apparently also from The Flash) as Jennifer Morales. Read more... )The fandom for the show is super small but hopefully it grows more. I definitely recommend it if you enjoyed the Blacklist or Fringe or Mindhunter or other procedural type shows.

Animal Control - came to Netflix and it made me realize I missed a whole season (season 3), so I did a rewatch of the series and am currently up to date. I laughed out loud a lot with this show and I really enjoyed it. If anyone likes animals and enjoyed Community, I'd say you'd like this. This is also a small fandom? Not a lot of fanworks (gifs or fics that I could find). I did come out of this rewatch shipping completely different ship Read more... )

Stumble - NBC's newest show that reminds me a lot of early Glee (and weirdly Pitch Perfect). It's sitcom show filmed mock-documentary style for the most part I guess like the Office but it's about the cheer coach and her cheerleaders. Jenn Lyon (Esther Finch from Dead Boy Detectives) portrays the coach, Courteney and I absolutely love her (definitely on my favorite characters). Kristin Chenoweth is Tammy Istiny, former assistant coach to Courteney and even though her storyline is predictable - I like her. I think my favorite cheerleader on the team are Peaches and Madonna though. But the whole team is great. Definitely check it out if you like sitcoms, although like Animal Control might not be for everyone. Again super small fandom.

DMV - enjoying this sitcom a lot and I am appreciating that it is not a mock-documentary type show - while I like Stumble, I do not enjoy that concept of a sitcom. Now this show reminds me of Parks & Rec, so I recommend it if you enjoyed that show or Community.

Fallout - THE LATEST EPISODE MAN. So many feelings. Did I expect what happened would happen? Duh. It's not that huge of a surprise but the WAY it was shot was. Beautiful. I do of course want like fix-it Ghoulcy fics right now though...

Doc - these last few episodes are so emotional, and I did not really expect to see where it took them. Read more... )

High Potential
- I really liked this episode, and I enjoyed the Morgan/Karadec scenes of course. Read more... )

Also check out the new [community profile] dcfemslashevents community, they are having a February Comment Fest - I love the concept of it and the whole community and because of it:

Found out a "fanweek" happening next month that I'm interested in DC Rarepair Week (Feb 8-14), we shall see if I remember it. I'm interested in participating because I tend to ship a lot of rare or rare-ish ships for DC. I'm going to try for pairings I haven't written before... or maybe just any since I technically haven't written any DC stuff in 6 years (the last being Courtney/Henry Jr. of Stargirl TV series and Kara/Maxwell of Supergirl TV series). Both are actually extremely rare pairings.

Also discovered a DC Fandom Events tumblr, which lists & tracks various DC challenges & when they are happening which is helpful because I've been wondering what other "fanweeks" would be happening this year since I know a good portion of fandoms are located on other platforms such as AO3 or Tumblr or Discords now and not everything is promoted to [community profile] fandomcalendar or [community profile] whenisitdue or one of the other communities about events. Usually I stumble upon them way after they are done - plus fanlore's fanweeks category are mostly about ones years past and as far as I can tell on all the ones I was interested in only happened once or twice.  Discovered Raven/Dick apparently has their own "fanweek" in the past so hopefully a new one happens this year - I just have to remember to check in April. According AO3 tags, there is less than 700 works for Raven/Dick so they can be considered rarepair for the DC Rarepair Week.

Are there any "fanweeks" you are looking forward to this year? Or one that you hope will happen again? Doesn't have to be DC or Marvel...

So over at [community profile] fandomtrees, I made a book rec comment for someone, but I don't think I have one here (unless you read my profile),  so I figured I should post it here. I'll probably add to it if I remember any other favorites. They are not ordered in any particular order.

I usually do Romance just FYI, so if you're looking for something "new" (but probably old), check out below!

Crossposting my comment from [community profile] booknook. If I can remember to keep this up for every "Wednesday Reading Progress" that would be great or maybe every other week. I don't normally post comments on Goodreads just ratings so this might be a good way to remember my feelings about a particular book/author. Please note that I mainly read Romance books, other genres are usually secondary.

In this case, some of my thoughts were already posted in a previous post.
