Studying for a test, Drake complained, “Josh, psych is ridiculously hard to understand.”

“How so?”

Drake read from the textbook. “The super-ego is the faculty that seeks to police what it deems unacceptable desires.”

“The super-ego is your conscience, a boss in your head, trying to stop you from what your ego wants to do.”

Drake continued, “It represses the Oedipus complex.”

“Little boys fall in love with their mothers.”

“Ew!”

“It’s why you don’t like Dad kissing Mom.”

“ - and is associated with the dread of castration.”

Josh whispered the definition.

Frightened, Drake frowned and whined, “Megan!”
