How about a brief introduction for yourself?
Hello, I'm Stephanie and currently 17-going-on-18. I live in the United States and absoulutely adore comic books such as the X-men and Batman, along with cartoons, tv shows, books, anime, and movies. I love just about anything if deals with Vampires, Werewolves, Dragons, other monsters, Greek myths & legends, Egyptian myths, and Celtic myths.
Fabulous! And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
I'm not sure how I got the link to FFN, but that began my interest in fanfiction and writing. It was either Hey Arnold or Lizzie McGuire that got me into fanfiction though.
I see, so what kind of fanfiction do you like to write?
I like writing crossovers... lol. And of course romance... fluff is awesome. I tend to usually write pairing fanfiction, I've rarely just created general character fanfiction.
Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the most difficult aspects of writing you struggle with?
It all depends... sometimes its easy when the muse is alive in me, but other times i can't even pull out a sentence which is the worst. I hate it when I have a writer's block. Some difficult aspects of writings I struggle with would be characterization (I hate for them to be too OOC, but sometimes they have to be to fit the storyline), grammer stuff (thankfully I've gotten WAY better), and I tend to get writer's block a lot.
Wite a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.
I'm a major multi-shipper, so if don't mind I'll skip this one, lmao.
Are there any fanfiction clichés or trends you’re sick of or just can’t stand?
Hmmm... idk.
Are you guilty of any fanfiction clichés you hate? Or any other ones?
Haha...I'm guilty of bashing characters... I can't help it though... some characters just get under my skin. I'm guilty for liking some mary-sues... Its pretty much the only kind of Lord of the Rings fanfiction I read when I read the fandom. I love Legolas/OC.
What was the first fandom you wrote for, and do you still like/participate in it?
Lizzie McGuire... sadly no I don't. I haven't seen it in a long time so I haven't visited it.
Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.
Most frequent written pairings: Hermione/Chase, Niki/Peter, Audrey/Matt, Derek/Casey, Hermione/Draco - because they're a few of my favorite pairings... duh.
Most frequent written characters: Hermione, Chloe, Niki, Claire, Peter, Audrey, Sam Winchester, Cyclops - because they're my favorite characters and I feel contected to each one.
What would you call your writing “style”?
I don't think I have a style... if anyone thinks I do... let me know!
Do you read other people’s fanfic? If so, what do you find yourself reading the most?
Of course! I read tons of different authors and stories. I usually stick to pairings I like (which are about like a million), but I'm pretty open-minded in finding new pairings to fall in love with except for a few pairings that I absoulutely refuse to read.
Name one thing you’d LOVE to write, but have been too afraid or shy to do.
Hmmm.... a complete Alternative universe... like the Heroes characters as high schoolers or a different era fanfic. Or a virtual series.
Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
I don't mind constructive criticism as long as its written nicely. It's the flames that are annoying and I wish to kill, especially when they've been warned about something and still read and end up complaining about it.
When you write, is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room?
Night time.... music... quiet.... anything I guess.
What inspires you?
Music, quotes, movies, books, movies, episodes, prompts, etc.
Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?
I've definitely grown as a writer since I first started writing, my grammer & spelling has improved greatly. I've also branched out into different fandoms since the beginning.
