Ok, just so you know, I created the winners' banners from Orange, Snow, Christmas, and Celebration challenges... I put the banners off for so long (for Orange, Snow & Christmas) & since you've been having trouble with your GIMP, I decided to help out... hope you don't mind.

I did a banner for Flame (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j295/harpie06/0hsm_100/flame.png) and Celebration (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j295/harpie06/0hsm_100/celebration.png), incase you want to use them. Anyway, I totally get what your saying (about not reading the pairings you don't support) - I'm that way too, unless I'm curious but I don't like it, I don't review it or complain about it. And I totally understand what your saying about those reviewers... I HATE them.
